Round of 16 dates and the next draw
The first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 is scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 7, while the return match is scheduled to be held a week later, on Thursday, March 14. The winners of the round of 16 will qualify for the quarter-finals, for which the tournament draw is scheduled to take place on Friday, March 15. Instead, the losers will be permanently eliminated from the 2023-24 European Cup.

Round of 16 rules
In the round of 16, you cannot face teams from the same country, and of course teams from the same category. The seeded teams (group winners) will play a rematch at home. If the two teams are tied after 180 minutes in the second round of the Round of 16, the match will move to extra time regardless of the goals scored at home or away. In the event of a tie again after extra time, the match will go to penalty kicks.
