Angie Smitsuntil today manager Gang war gameswas promoted to head of corporate development strategy PlayStation Studios. Smets has been on Guerrilla for twenty years, holding various roles, including that of executive producer.
Let’s read what Smits wrote goodbye message: “These last two decades at Guerrilla have been an absolute dream. I feel privileged to have worked alongside some of the smartest and most amazing people in the industry. I am so grateful for everything I have learned with them. It has achieved so much as a team and I am incredibly proud of all the games we have released together.
Special thanks to Jan-Bart van Beek and Michiel van der Leeuw. It seems like only yesterday we were thinking about how to make and launch the first Killzone. Little did we know that we would lead Guerrilla together. You have become like brothers to me and there is no way I can thank you enough. Will miss you so much.”
Guerrilla also announced the new management team: Joel Eschler (Studio Director and Production Director), Hella Schmidt (Studio Director and General Manager), Jan-Bart van Beek (Studio Director and Artistic Director). Michel van der Leeuw will instead be the technical director and focus on the future and strategies around it Engine X.
