On Friday, a “Solidarity Night” will be held to raise money for cancer research

On Friday, at eight o’clock in the evening, Bellver Castle will host the second edition of the “Solidarity Night” with the aim of raising funds for research against this disease.

Spanish Assembly Vs cancer (AECC) in the Balearic Islands announced on Monday that attendees will be able to enjoy a performance by the Palma Gospel Singer Choir, among other activities, along with a diverse tasting show presented by the chefs of the Founding Chefs Association of the Balearic Islands (AECC).

On this topic, the President of the AECC in the Balearic Islands, José Reyes, explained that this evening serves as a “connection” between patients, volunteers, researchers and collaborators. “It is a great opportunity to demonstrate the commitment of the Balearic Islands community to the fight against cancer,” he added.

The first edition raised 36 thousand euros for oncology research, and on this occasion the ticket price will be 50 euros.

As part of the “All Against Cancer” plan, the association aims to exceed 70 percent survival in 2030, with the survival rate for men currently standing at 55.3 percent and for women 61.7 percent.
