Information on the Internet

Is it good to eat ginger for health? I like the taste of this tuber that is commonly consumed in the Asian continent and has been used frequently for several decades in this part of the world.

To be on the safe side, I search the internet for information about the effects of ginger. Does it affect blood pressure? Raise it? Lower it?

The first note from Google tells me that it is very healthy, because it reduces it; the second explains that it can speed up the heart and cause irregular heartbeat. The third is very good for health, and the fourth raises blood pressure. What is left for us?

Want to get some solid information? Consult an expert and stop telling stories. Okay, but the truth is that there are as many experts on the subject as there are colors in Pantone. Is it good to sunbathe? If you have a vitamin D deficiency, you will be fine. But protect yourself. With sunscreen? There are places where they tell you that protection, and excessive creams with many ingredients are also harmful. Is it better not to sunbathe, or to do it only for a short time in the early morning, without protection?

Information overload is confusing us, not to mention killing us. Dr. Google is doing a lot of harm to people, as before he came along, self-medicating, trying what a friend or neighbor recommended… Are you a little sick to your stomach? So take…

The truth, especially in health matters, should be one and the same. But it isn’t. There are rivers of misinformation that complicate our lives. And unfortunately, in the end, many people end up choosing the thought, opinion, or assessment that most closely aligns with their way of thinking.
