Antonia Andrew has marked several generations with her Spanish lessons
It's been 30 years, but they've been recognized without a problem. Writer Lucia Ramis does not forget Antonia Andreu, the teacher who instilled her love of language. She was his Spanish teacher when he was in high school. They have not seen each other since the distant 1994.
“I'm a writer because of you,” Ramis admits to Andrew. but This retired teacher, with all humility, admits that she feels “so small” that students like her are being eaten up by her.
He remembers those years, despite the work it took to teach Spanish, and says he wouldn't change them for anything. “I would do the same thing again,” he says. Ramis remembers the passion and nature with which he taught.
Ramis asks: “Do you realize the importance of training some students well so that they can later devote themselves to literature?” The teacher believes that people are waking up to the desire to write, but Ramis believes that this is not enough: “They should accompany you when you start writing. And a good literary and linguistic education means that you later pay attention to what you do. And having someone pass it on to you helps a lot. In my case, it's you or Juana Sanchez.”
A good example of how good teachers can make a difference in people's lives.
