CAT112, is at WMC to share…

CAT112 Director, Irene Fornos, accompanied by CAT112's Technology and Innovation Area Director, Jordi Gonzalez, visited Mobile World Congress today, where they held several business meetings with technology suppliers to share technological improvements integrated by emergency phone and explore possible lines of improvement.

Director Fornos, among others, visited the Telefónica booth, where they were able to share the latest improvements implemented by CAT112 in call handling. They also attended the Aina Challenge presentation featuring Business and Employment Minister Roger Torrent. They also visited the Mossos d'Esquadra pavilion to learn about the latest security developments that the state police are working on. They also took the opportunity to explain to police officers the projects CAT112 is involved in to improve the management of calls handled by emergency phone managers, with a peak of 9,000 calls per day, using artificial intelligence tools. CAT112 is currently participating in a project developed by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center to apply artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of calls made by CAT112 managers. It must be remembered that the attention received by CAT112 is rated as good or very good year after year by citizens who have used this essential service.

The technological improvements implemented in CAT112 make it easier to predict activity depending on the day and time, thanks to the application of algorithms that allow attention levels of more than 98% of calls to be reached 10 seconds earlier. However, CAT112 has technological processes that ensure not only the quality of service but also its continuity in the face of critical situations. For this reason, it is the first emergency telephone service in the country to obtain the ISO 22301 certification to ensure business continuity.
