The Consulate General of the United States of America awards the couple formed by Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore the Cultural Diplomacy Award “for their exceptional commitment to strengthening cultural ties between the United States of America and Emilia-Romagna, as authentic culinary diplomats.”
The tribute will be presented by the Consul General of the United States of America in Florence, Ragini Gupta, on the occasion of an invitation-only ceremony to be held in Modena on Tuesday 23 May at 11.30 in the Sala dei Cardinali of the Fondazione Collegio San Carlo. Mayor Gian Carlo Mozzarelli also intervenes.
The Cultural Diplomacy Prize was inaugurated by Consul General Gupta in 2021, and the Cultural Diplomacy Prize has already been awarded to Nicoletta Mantovani, President and Founder of the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation, and to the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies – CACE in Bologna.
