The legendary TV show “El Grand Prix del Verano”, on RTVE’s La Primera, will start a new season on Monday, July 8 (10.50 p.m.), in which 14 cities in the state will participate, among which Almasiles, which is already the protagonist of the first program. The municipality of Lleida, sponsored by the TV presenter Lorena Castell, will compete against Bembre, in the province of León and sponsored by the comedian Leo Harlem, to win and be able to qualify for the semi-finals, and therefore the Grand Championship. The program, in which Ramón García will once again be the master of ceremonies, along with Cristina López (Cristinini), Wilbur, La Faquila and the dinosaur Nico, includes almost twice as many games this summer than last year, with a total of 31. Quizzes, such as “Welcome to Tartópolis”, “Champions Prix”, “Wikipeques”, “Operation Meow Meow”, among others, which will be added to classics such as “The hot potato”, “The Dictionary”, “Los troncos” and “The locations”.
El Grand Prix del Verano, produced by RTVE in collaboration with EuroTV Produccions (iZen Group), became, upon its return in 2023, the best TV premiere of the year, with a share of 26.1%. Its seven programmes were absolute leaders in their category, with an average of 1,689,000 viewers in line and 336,000 in deferred and a share of 19.4%.
