Tomorrow, at 5.30 pm at the State Library, the third meeting of the events “Science in the City: Close Encounters with Science for the Curious, Skeptics and Enthusiasts” will be held, organized by the “Friends of the High School of Science” association in cooperation with the Galilee High School and sponsored by the municipality and the university. The theme of the meeting will be “Accademia dei Catenati, Accademia Georgica and Accademia degli Incolti” and will be spoken by Angiola Maria Napoleone, Prince of Accademia dei Catenati, former Director of the State Library of Macerata; Cinzia Cecchini, rector of the Georgica Accademia in Tria, science teacher in Ite “Gentili” and former student of Galilei High School and professor Francesca Pagnanelli, secretary of the Accademia degli Incolti in Cingoli. Writer Lucia Tancredi is a moderate. The Accademia dei Catenati was one of the oldest literary circles in Italy. The date of its foundation can be obtained by reading the documents of the Academy itself and is July 2, 1574.
