Peíscola presents a weekend of street jazz with a new dance workshop

From August 30 to September 1, throughout the weekend, five free outdoor concerts will be held in this fourth edition of the festival.

The Department of Culture presented the program of musical performances that will be held during the last weekend of August.street jazz weekend The streets of Peniscola will be filled with the rhythms of jazz and swing music. The programme of this fourth edition consists of five shows, which also includes, as a novelty, a swing dance workshop (Lindy Hope). Concerts and workshops will be held outdoors on the promenade with internationally recognized groups and performers.

“This musical event that arrives in the last days of August and welcomes September has already become a mandatory event for lovers of this musical genre that in addition has the attraction of being able to enjoy on the street an unusual environment and with musicians of recognized talent,” assessed the mayor of the city, Andres Martinez, who highlighted the “paradigm shift” and innovations the festival is embracing and experimenting with edition after edition.

In this sense, he focused on the dance workshop that “will allow attendees, along with the dance teachers themselves, to shake from the concert after the workshop and enjoy putting their skills to the test, allowing themselves to be carried away by the dynamic rhythms and happy swing music”. He also highlighted the festival’s commitment to promoting local musicians.
