The Cap Roig Festival concluded its 24th edition on Friday night, having welcomed nearly 48,500 participants in a total of 23 shows with national and international stars in the Cap Roig Gardens in Palafrugell (Girona) on the Costa Brava.
The organization explained in a statement that the Catalan band Gosos was responsible for closing the schedule of shows that began in mid-July, which included shows for different audiences and tastes.
This year, names like The Corrs, Raphael, Guillem Gisbert, John Fogerty, Diana Krall, Sopa de Cabra, Estopa, Passenger, The Tyets, Andrés Calamaro, Chris Isaak, Pablo López, Los Secretos, Álvaro Soler, Rosalyn, Taboretti, Mickey Núñez, Carles Sans, Sergio Dalma, Sara Barras or Coqui Mala have passed through the Cap Roig stage.
Concerts with tickets sold
The festival, organised by the Clippers Group with the support of Caixa Bank, sold out eight concerts and achieved an occupancy rate of 86%, once again confirming its prominent position as a cultural event.
The president of the Clipper’s Group and director of the Cap Roig Festival, Julie Joyeux, was very satisfied with the results of this edition and said that the event had succeeded in “attracting a large audience and offering a high-quality programme”.
“We are already looking forward to the next edition, which will coincide with the festival’s 25th anniversary, hoping to continue growing and offering the best to our audience,” said Joyo.
