Real embezzlement

Recognition of legitimacy between powers, checks and balances, and fundamental rights. These are among the three indispensable elements of a credible democratic system. None of these three, in our country, is clearly protected, nor is it adequately protected and demanded by the ultimate beneficiaries of the system, the citizens.
