The Foreign Ministry statement said, “Armenia is sincerely interested in bringing peace and stability to the Near East and achieving lasting reconciliation between the Jewish and Palestinian peoples.” He points out that “the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza and the ongoing military conflict are two of the main issues on the international political agenda that require a solution.” At the same time, the resolution condemns “attacks against civilian infrastructure, violence against the civilian population, hostage-taking and capture of civilians during armed conflict.”

It calls for the unconditional release of the hostages, and recalls that the Armenian government voted in favor of the United Nations General Assembly resolutions calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
