Agents of the State Police – Mossos d'Esquadra from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Barcelona Metropolitan Police District are investigating the death of a man and two minors inside a house in the Horta-Guinardo de Barcelona area.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Mossos d'Esquadra family was asked to go to a house located on Passeig Universal in Barcelona after a woman reported that her children who were with their father did not go to school. When they arrived at the scene, the signs activated the Barcelona Fire Department, which entered through the window and found that there was a carbon monoxide-like odor inside. Once inside, three dead bodies were found: an adult and two minors.
Four EMS advanced support units, a team of psychologists, two call signs from the Barcelona Fire Department and two Urban Guards were sent to the scene. From the Mossos d'Esquadra side, five police teams were activated and teams of investigators and scientific police worked to collect as much evidence as possible to clarify how the events occurred.
The DIC in Barcelona has taken over the investigation, which remains open.
The judicial authority ruled the actions confidential.
