wedge – On Friday, September 9 at 6 pm, science will be the protagonist at the Don Bosco movie theater with the show “Stand for Science. But what does your head tell you?”, a trip to talk about science and the wonderful world of cognitive mechanisms (free admission).
As part of the Stem Lab (Discover, Send, Emotion, Motivate) project coordinated by the “Con i Bambini” Foundation and the Kairos Consortium of Turin, over the summer about 600 children from Cuneo participated in science labs culminating in a week of camp. The project, which is dedicated to promoting and approaching young people in the disciplines of Stem, i.e. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, allowed the stimulation of transversal skills such as creativity, resilience, motivation, leadership and collaborative learning.
At the end of the experiments, the Social Education Service of Cuneo Municipality, in collaboration with Gesu and Stora River Park and with the support of Etor, the educational partner of the project, will propose this event, open to all residents, in which art and science mingle in an explosion of surprises and fun on the topic of cognitive mechanisms we deal with every day.
The show was designed and produced by Frame-Scientific Digressions and Teatro della Caduta. On stage, Francesco Giorda, an actor and comedian with a passion for science, and Alberto Agliotti, a scholarly celebrity with a Vice Comedy, will play the role of presenter, expert and common man, motivating the audience for direct intervention. And by using smartphones to answer “science test” questions in real time.
