The average electricity price for this Saturday, April 13, 2024 is €9.17 per MWh. Great news, as it is €10.77 cheaper, if we compare it to the average price on Friday. We remember that on April 12, the average cost was €19.94 per MWh.
In addition, we will again have unprecedented prices in some parts of the day, well below 0 euros per MWh. According to data Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), there will be hours when the price is -0.4 euros per MWh.
Electricity prices today, Saturday, April 13, hour by hour
Although there will be many watches with higher prices compared to previous days, prices will moderate considerably this Saturday. The best part is that from the first hour of the day, the cost of one megawatt-hour will be very cheap.
In this sense, from 09:00 to 10:00, the price of a megawatt-hour will be €0.01, falling to €0.02 between 10:00 and 11:00. From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the price will fall to -0.1 EUR per MWh, reaching -0.2 EUR from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Finally, between 15:00 and 17:00, we will have the cheapest price of the day: -0.4 euros per megawatt hour (MW/h).

When will electricity be more expensive on Saturday?
The hours with the highest rates will be distributed between Saturday morning and evening. For example, from 00:00 to 01:00 the price per megawatt hour (MW/h) is €24.15, and from 01:00 to 02:00 it will be €17.73. At night, between 8:00pm and 9:00pm, a megawatt-hour will cost €24.96, although the most expensive price on the day will be from 9:00pm to 10:00pm: €35 per megawatt-hour.
