Cuneo – A 25-year-old from Cuneo dies in tragedy at sea in Tenerife

The body of a young man lost at sea was found by the Spanish Civil Guard on Monday 14 August in Tenerife. The body is Luca Brignone from Cuneo, born in 1998, whose family lives in Madonna delle Grazie.
The 25-year-old was on holiday in the Canary Islands with his girlfriend, a 23-year-old girl, who was instead rescued and brought ashore by rescuers of the municipality’s Coastal Rescue Service. The young woman, who was found in a state of shock, was treated by the staff of the Servicio de Urgencias Canario, before being taken by ambulance to Hostilón Sur University Hospital.
The tragedy occurred on the coast of Los Gigantes, in Santiago del Teide. Members of the Guardia Civil’s Group of Specialists in Underwater Activities (GEAS) joined in the search: only on August 15, around 12.30, the discovery.
