Girona, July 12 (European News Agency) –
The 62nd Porta Ferrada Festival, celebrated in Sant Feliu de Guíxols (Girona) from Friday until August 20, opens with a concert by Puerto Rican Gilberto Santa Rosa, an edition that will feature Suzanne Vega, Tom Jones, Rob. Gene Simmons, Humbert Tozzi, Amaral and Nacho Duato.
The festival has already sold more than 27,000 tickets and the edition will include more than 30 shows, 15 by international artists and 23 first-time participants in Sant Feliu, with more than 30% of the productions represented in Catalan and a mix of rock, pop, classical music, dance and jazz.
After the Gilberto Santa Rosa concert, Gregory Porter (July 13), Andrea Mutis (July 19), Madeleine Peyroux (July 20), Julieta Venegas (July 26), Tom Jones (July 26), Clara Pia (July 27), Suzanne Vega (July 28) and Toquinho (July 28).
In August, they will be followed by Nacho Duato (August 5), Ara Malikian (August 6), Xuel Lopez (August 7), Antonia Font (August 8), Pierre Hantai (August 9), Maria del Mar Bonet (August 9), Rob (August 10), Amaral (August 11), Fabio Biondi (August 12), Vega Floas and Moshka (August 12).
The program will be completed by the Gene Simmons Band (August 13), Camerata de Música Catalana and Carles Amigó (August 14), Hombres G (August 14), Guillem Gisbert and La Ludwig Band (August 15), Umberto Tozzi (August 16), Two Door Cinema Club (August 17), Seguridad Social and La Guardia (August 18), José González (August 19), and Miklós Perini (August 20).
