Premiere of Mass. Protected from the wrath of the world Composer Ramón Humete brought down the curtain on the 44th Torroella de Montgrí Festival. A piece where you can see all the composer’s experience.

The Mass was commissioned for the festival at Humeit. To be able to represent the slogan of the competition. This festival is inspired by the years of the pandemic, when the festival made a great effort to continue. That is why, after years, they wanted to end the festival with an introspective look.

A piece inspired by the great composers of the Renaissance. For the composer, receiving the commission was an honor. Humet was in the front row throughout the concert and at the end he and the artists were given the audience’s appreciation.

The Vos Omnes choir, directed by Xavier Pastrana, was responsible for presenting the new Mass. His voice rang out loud inside the Church of Sant Genis, where the audience was able to enjoy the premiere of Tomás Luís de Victoria’s Mass of Humet and Missa Ascendens Christus in Altum, dating from 1592.

A unique and special concert that put an end to the 43 concerts that played music in Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit.
