The duet _juno, formed by singers Zahara and Martí Berarnau IV, filled the surroundings of Cale Barro, in Esponilla, last Saturday evening.
Recòndit Festival was the organizer of this party that brought the electronic music of the _juno project to the small town of Esponellà.
The duo formed in April 2019, five years ago now. In 2020 they published their first work _BCN626 and last year the project’s second album _BCN747 was released. In this final work, Zahara and Martí Berarnau IV express everything they see and the world around them. Thus songs were born from his travels to London, Amsterdam, Mexico, Los Angeles and elsewhere. They talk about disillusionment, questioning the origins of humans and their future, but they also show anger at the mistakes of ancestors.
At this weekend’s concert at the Recòndit Festival, _juno invited the audience to enter their own “limbo state,” creating music live and accompanying their voices with synthesizers, drum machines and loops, all wrapped in images and visual effects.
The _juno show took place last Saturday, May 4, at 9pm at Cal Baró, in Esponella.
