Tàrrega has everything ready for the 26th edition of the Paupaterres – Ponent Summer Festival, from tomorrow until Saturday. Pianist and singer Manu Guix will open the program tomorrow evening with a concert at the Mas de Colom.
The competition, which will take place in different spaces in the capital Urgell, will this year welcome around twenty artists of different styles and origins, 50% of them from the Lleida area and 50% female bands. It is worth noting that Manu Guix will open the festival as a late replacement for Kiko P. de la Serra, due to injury. The popular artist and media personality will share the stage on the first night of Paupaterres with Olga Zoet, an emerging artist from Lleida, who will present her first compositions. The event will also include tastings of local wines and oils from the L’Olivera and Analec wineries and the Tàrrega Borges company, and an outdoor dinner with proposals prepared for the occasion. The entrance fee is 3 euros, and there will be a free shuttle bus service from the city center. The festival will continue on Thursday with the traditional Paupaterres al Carrer Festival; Friday with Els Amics de les Arts and Figa Flawas, among others; and Saturday with the only concert this summer in Ponent d’Oques Grasses.
