FAI Autumn Days returns this weekend, the major event dedicated to the cultural heritage and landscape of the Bel Paese region. Also in this edition – the twelfth – the Foundation’s young volunteers will put their enthusiasm open to public spaces worthy of fame and appreciation, many of which are usually inaccessible.
Then there’s room for fall flavors. “Brostoi, Formài e…” is coming to Serle, a food and wine event that reached its 21st edition this year. The event develops along the main street of the villa area and in the adjacent alleys, then opens up into various squares and rural settings with more than 30 pavilions. There will be a tasting of typical Serles dishes, accompanied by wines from Brescia, for a menu of delicious dishes ranging from antipasto to coffee. There will also be an exhibition of wooden and stone handicrafts, in addition to a display of sculpture and painting works.
But there are several festivals scheduled: Passardo, Alfianello, Fasano and – in a beautiful lakeside location – Closan d’Eseu, where the traditional chestnut festival will take place.
For those who want to shop, we recommend three antique markets, both on Sundays. The first is in Paratico, where a “blast from the past” will take place, the second is in Rovato with its “Attic in the Piazza”, while the third is the now historic Mercantico in Lonato. Finally, in Iseo, the AMA will hold the Creative Market, where you can find excellent home design, art, painting, fashion and handmade items.
The full list of events is available on our What to Do in City page, but – like every week – we’ve selected the best events especially for you: so here’s our pick, have a great time everyone!
