The show will be held this Sunday from 2/4 at 9pm with a group of Havanera who are celebrating 10 years on stage this year.
In a Musicveu festival edition full of round numbers, the celebration of Les Anxovetes’ 10th anniversary could not be missed with a selection of songs that have accompanied the formation throughout its career.
To celebrate it on stage, Les Anxovetes presents at the Solidari Musicveu Festival a new original show full of music and emotion in a concert that will take place on Sunday at 8.30 p.m. Through music, words, images and objects, the training dedicated to female havanera will explain their history and experiences throughout this first decade. In short, an intimate and emotional journey, with music and the sea as protagonists.
Widely recognized
In July 2013 they had their first rehearsal in Can Pont, Lambil. The havanera chosen to start the new adventure was “La balada d’en Lucas”. And in the spring of 2014 came the first performances that had stopped all these years.
There have been countless performances, including Cantada de Calella de Palafrugell and Palau de la Música. In 2017 they took it a step further by participating in the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington.
Before the Sunday concert, there is the possibility of visiting the Espai Far Museum, located in the emblematic Sant Cristófol lighthouse where the show will take place, a museum that showcases the rich maritime heritage. To complete the evening, at the end of the concert you can have dinner at the Nàutic by Cal Blay restaurant with a menu specially designed for the occasion.
