Four out of four. Four draws, as many semi-finals: it’s the Italian show at Roland Garros. In addition to Jannik Sinner and Jasmine Paolini – who will compete with Carlos Alcaraz and Mira Andreeva respectively for a place in the final – the Italian pair are also dreaming of a coup in Paris: Paolini is still the champion with Sarah Errani on the women’s side, while on the men’s level it is now Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavasori achieves the usual victories. Even without Sinner, Wednesday was a fantastic day at Roland Garros.

Vavasori and Bolelli

Vavasori and Bolelli reached the semi-finals as they did in the Italian Internazionale: in the Foro Italico they were stopped by Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic, while in Paris they were called up for the big test against the duo ranked No. 1, composed of Mathieu. Ebden and Rohan Bopanna. The Azzurri achieved a remarkable victory in the quarter-finals (1-6, 6-3, 6-4) over Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram, who is ranked third in the classification. In short: the best ever at Roland Garros. The Italian duo finds Ebden/Bopanna again: they lost in the Australian Open final, and there was revenge in the round of 16 in Rome. Make yourself comfortable: meet at 12 at Simonne Mathieu.

Paolini, Double Triumph

An exceptional double for Paolini. Within a few hours, Yasmine reached the semi-finals in singles (beating Elena Rybakina) and in doubles, with her now permanent partner Errani: the two Italians, new champions of Internazionale d’Italia, won in two sets. (6 -3 6-3) Navarro/Schneider. Errani and Paolini are the No. 11 seeded pair and are waiting to find out who they will face in the semi-finals, but in the meantime they continue to fly: second place in the race. Paolini will play in singles matches on Thursday: the semi-final against Andreeva is scheduled to take place on the Central Court after Jove-Swiatek, which will start at three in the afternoon, with Jasmine competing for everything, and Italy monopolizing Roland Garros.
