A sabotage attack disrupted the BCN subway in the morning


Two subway trains belonging to Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) were attacked by vandalism last Sunday morning when they were transporting dozens of people. The accident affected the circulation of lines 2 and 4.


Shortly before 1 a.m., about 70 people entered Jaume I station on Line 4, boarded a train and painted inside, TMB said in a statement.

Various accidents

Later, at Passeig de Gracia station, they also painted the exterior of another carriage on line 4, forcing it to stop for about 10 minutes. At the same station, they also painted a train line on line 2, affecting service for about 10 minutes. 10 minutes between Universitat and Sagrada Família stations.


TMB reported that the attack painted two carriages and caused damage at Jaume I, Passeig de Gràcia and Universitat stations.

One of the graffiti authors has been identified after metro security guards intervened.
