Last Sunday, the Judicial Police of Mossos de Escodra arrested a 42-year-old man accused of the death of his mother, a 68-year-old woman. According to authorities, the events occurred at around 6.45pm in the Raval neighborhood of Barcelona. Apparently, a call to 112 alerted about a dead woman in a house in Carrer Carmi.
When police officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim’s lifeless body. As Mossos newspaper reported, all indications point to the possibility of murder. The first investigations conducted by the Barcelona Criminal Investigation Division pointed directly to the woman’s son as the main suspect.
After escaping from his home, the man was located and arrested on Sunday evening. At approximately 23:45, the police found the suspect and arrested him. In this regard, it is expected that he will be presented before the Custodial Court on Wednesday morning.
