Urban music group Sabadell 31 Fam have been included in the list of eight finalists for the Cerverí 2024 Award, which honours the best lyrics in Catalan this season. The jury is made up of journalists from Radio Catalonia, invention I Underrockas well as members of the Prudence Bertrana Foundation, who highlighted this issue. The award is given by popular vote that will be open from Monday until September 8 on the public radio’s web portal. Among the other finalists, we find a good selection of artists who have recently set foot on the Sabadell stages, such as Guillem Gisbert (Embassa’t), Paula Valls (Observa) or the Ludwig Band (Fresc). The list of candidates is completed by Mar Pujol, Joan Miquel Oliver, Anaïs Vila and Okies Gras.
As the organization reported, the winner of the Cerveri Prize will be revealed during the Prudence Bertrana Awards Ceremony, which will take place on September 17 in the Girona Auditorium. There, the various literary prizes promoted by the Prudence Bertrana Foundation will be presented.
The Serveri Lyrics Award was created in 1996. It is open to original, unpublished lyrics published in the recording industry during the most recent calendar year (May 1, 2023 to April 31, 2024). Modifications and texts previously edited by any other means are not eligible.
