Lidl Construction work continues for its future platform Logistics services to Martorell With the aim of decisively accompanying and intensifying the development of its business in the northeastern region of the state. This operation responds to the company's need to adapt its logistics resources to the sustainable growth it has recently experienced in this region and other independent communities, and will allow it to continue generating local wealth and employment as well as opening new, modern and efficient stores and sourcing more and more regional products.

The supermarket chain already has a network of more than 120 organizations and a workforce of more than 4,000 people in Catalonia, with annual purchases of regional products amounting to €820 million from more than 180 suppliers. According to consultancy PwC, Lidl's footprint in Catalonia is around €1.3 billion a year contributing to GDP and adding up to 26,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs.

Three more logistics platforms are on the horizon
The future Lidl warehouse in Martorell is part of a sustainable statewide expansion plan, which includes, in terms of logistics, three more projects distributed throughout the state in the coming years: one in Parla (Madrid), and another in Villadangos del Paramo (León). One in Parla (Madrid), and another in Villadangos del Paramo (León).
