Cassondra Bildev-Stratton, 40, lived with her husband on the fourth floor of an apartment building in Florida that served as their bite-e-terrace, where they spent most of the epidemic.
She panicked her husband, who was on a business trip to Washington D.C., and said he had a hole that replaced the missing pool.
“I was on the phone with her when it happened, around 1:30 a.m. (Wednesday night to Thursday),” the man said in an interview with NBC News on Monday.
He says he is based on his faith in the Israeli search and rescue team digging through the rubble for the victims.
“They work hard and always dig too much,” he explained, noting that he had no message from his girlfriend. “These Israelis are excavation teams, they’re doing the right thing!” There are a lot of people looking and searching. ”
Cassandra Bildi-Stratton is a political adviser to the Democratic Party of America.
The catastrophic collapse killed at least eleven people five days ago. As many as 150 people are missing from the rubble as questions about the causes of the tragedy mount.
