Lion Face Lemon Face 01/06/13: Something Weird Is Happening In Brooklyn

lionface

Unless you are either a Timberwolves, 76ers, Hawks, Nets, Magic or Clippers fan, you might not have taken in any NBA action last night and if that was the case, I don’t blame you. Two of the games ended in a blowout, while the other ended with a Nets victory. So, yeah, it wasn’t one of the most memorable nights of the 2013-2014 season, but we still had highlights, injury updates, big performances and silly moments, so a Lion Face/Lemon Face is in order. Lion Face Lemon Face 01/03/13: Is…Is That You, Magic Johnson?

lionface

I’ve got to tell you all something: This isn’t the happiest Lion Face/Lemon Face I’ve ever done. There were some great moments last night, sure, but there were also a pair of nasty injuries, which, let’s be honest, kind of ruined the night. I guess not much has changed so far in 2014. Don’t worry, though, because the Knicks are still terrible, Nick Young is still the best and Kendall Marshall is working on becoming the best Lakers point guard since Magic Johnson, so we can all try and be happy again. lionface

There were only four games last night, but a lot of stuff happened. The Hawks and Cavaliers had to go through two overtimes to determine a winner, the Rockets somehow beat the Grizzlies despite playing terribly, Danny Green came back into our lives and helped the Spurs beat the Mavericks and the Clippers lost another thriller, this time against the Trailblazers. Lion Face Lemon Face 12/25/13: The Christmas Games Were…Interesting

lionface

When the schedule for this season leaked several months ago, the Christmas Day games looked awesome. A matchup between Derrick Rose’s Bulls and the championship-calibre Brooklyn Nets? Awesome. How about a potential, but unlikely, finals preview between the Thunder and Knicks? Sounds good to me. The Big Three taking on Kobe Bryant? Who says no to that? Continue Reading

Lion Face Lemon Face 12/23/13: LeBron Knows That Murder Is A Crime, Right?

lionface

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Eveeeeeeerywhere we go. Not really. There are no NBA games tonight, which doesn’t scream, “IT’S THE HOLIDAY SEASON” to me. But hey, maybe I’m just being picky. After all, there were 11 games last night and most of them were bags and bags of fun. So instead of complaining about it, let’s just take a look at the best and worst moments from all those games. Continue Reading
