“If Anything, It Was A Little Wink, And A Nod, and a ‘How About Them Apples?'”

We recorded on my birthday, which normally we wouldn’t do, but we felt obligated to bang out an episode with the recent pictures of Greg Oden being revealed and Paul Shirley showing just how much of a jerk he is. Let’s get down to business. Here’s what we talk about in this episode:

– Greg Oden’s manhood is displayed on the internet when I least suspected it. Don’t take your eye off the internet.

Imagine we were no longer an ESPN-affiliate.

This profoundly NSFW podcast is what we would want to produce for a podcast. Graydon and I are Indiana small-county public radio partyline compared to this. Worth a listen, from our own Zach Harper.

Talky Talky

The December edition of the 8th Seed is ready for your listening pleasures.

I was this month’s host and, boy oh boy, is this thing a beast.

Coming in at around 90 minutes, this episode has something for everyone, including our NBA Christmas wish lists, Dirk’s brilliance, Gilbert’s free throws, Donaghy Gate, team breakdowns (for the Celtics, Spurs, Cavs, Clippers, Kings, Grizzlies and Pacers), an ode to Tyreke Evans that can only be described as Mac-writing-a-letter-to-Chase-Utleyesque and someone being accused of being an emo kid.

I was a guest panelist on the 8th seed this week. This is a terrific group of bloggers and the fact that there’s not absolute chaos shows you the talent there. We tried something like this at HP and it was like a kindergarten recess in a prison cell. Lots of yelling in a small space.

Hate The Celtics? Fuel 4 You!

We get pretty in depth about Rajon Rondo (and reference this lenghty Boston Globe article on him that, in part, details his love for Connect Four), discuss Sheldon Williams vs. Big Baby, chat about the defense and mention some of the more typical Big Three/Sheed stuff as well. John also shares his thoughts on the other Eastern Conference contenders and faces the dreaded Ten Questions, which is an obvious gimmick that I am hoping your company would one day like to sponsor. (Call me.)

Talking About Practice: Episode 2.

John Karalis is podcast GOLD, people. PODCAST GOLD. Throw in Wade’s understated ability to get to the second level in podcasting, and this one’s pretty great. Give it a listen.
