Homewood Golf Course in Ames, Iowa is a municipal golf course that offers some amenities that your typical city golf course does not, like booking your tee time online. To help promote this helpful feature, the City of Ames recruited their native son, Golden State Warriors forward, Harrison Barnes, to enlighten golfers:

Barnes is not a great golfer because he was busy honing his basketball skills in Ames, where he became one of the best players in the country. Born and raised in Ames, Barnes starred at Ames High School. In 2010 he won the prestigious Morgan Wooten Player of the Year Award in 2010 and won the Iowa 4A state championship during his junior and senior years. Barnes often goes back to Ames in the off season as he still has plenty of love for his hometown:

You can bet that Barnes will use Homewood’s online tee time reservation system to book a time to golf with his teammates, David Lee and Draymond Green. Hopefully at Homewood they will have a better outing than the last time they all golfed together:
