Derrick Rose is Playing Basketball Again at USA Basketball Camp and Looks Healthy and Athletic and Stuff

After suffering a season-ending knee injury for the second consecutive season, Derrick Rose is back on the basketball court in a semi-competitive setting and looks, well, a lot like the Derrick Rose we remember from before the knee surgeries. While I’m not a doctor (I just play one on TV), these kinds of plays seem to be pretty good signs of Rose’s knee health —  as well as his mental comfort with the knee. This play in particular, attacking the rim and absorbing contact, seems to be the best sign that Rose is not just fully healthy physically, but also that he’s completely mentally recovered from injury.

There’s also this dunk, which, just wow. Still has crazy bounce.

Basketball is more fun when the best players are healthy, so seeing Derrick Rose looking more like his old self is very exciting. Hopefully this is just a preview of things to come, both for Team USA, the Chicago Bulls, and the NBA overall.
