Amir Johnson Pelts His Friend In The Face With A Training Ball For Upstaging Him In The Gym

Apr 30, 2014; Toronto, Ontario, CAN; Toronto Raptors forward-center Amir Johnson (15) tries to keep a ball in play as Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams (8) and forward Paul Pierce (34) look on in game five of the first round of the 2014 NBA Playoffs at the Air Canada Centre. Do yourself a favor: don’t ever try to upstage the Toronto Raptors’ Amir Johnson in the weight room.

The reason why is simple: he’ll grab whatever he is using at that point in time — in this case, a training ball — and throw it right at your head, regardless of what you are doing. Oh, and if that alone wasn’t enough, he’ll get a video of it, put it in slow motion, and post it on Instagram for the whole world to enjoy.*

I guess that’s just what good friends do nowadays.

It’s not every day that a 6-foot-9, 210-pound professional athlete tries to pelt you in the face with a training ball, so lesson learnt. Too bad for that guy for learning the hard way.

* Slow motion does make everything a lot funnier, so well done there, Amir.

Can Amir Johnson get recruited to Team USA; the team needs some frontcourt help.
