By David Vertsberger: Sure!

By David Vertsberger: Some guy doing the national anthem just messed it up, sending giggles through the crowd. I’d feel bad, but he made the national anthem more about him than the anthem itself with his performance, so instead I’m just going to laugh with the crowd.

By Brian Schroeder: FREE STUFF!!! THEY’RE THROWING FREE STUFF INTO THE CROWD! WHAT AN AMAZINGLY UNIQUE AND MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE!!! By Brian Schroeder: Roughly a quarter into Wolves/Mavs, and this Shabazz Muhammad vs Ricky Ledo is so SO ON. 9 points on 4/10 shooting for Shabazz, 6 points on 2/6 shooting for Ledo.

By Jack Maloney: Shane Larkin!

By Noam Schiller: Glen Rice Jr. has been attacking the rim with great fury. He hasn’t shot well from the floor, but he already has 13 free throws in twenty minutes and is showing no signs of remorse. Good signs for a Wizards team that could use athleticism on the wings in light of recent, Trevor Ariza-related news.

By David Vertsberger: Watching Hawks/Wizards, and this arena is close to dead silent. I too picked up a new pack of cards, nabbing Dwight Howard and Thaddeus Young to add to my starting lineup of Chris Paul, Paul George and Gordon Hayward. Also, “Turn Down For What” is playing over the PA currently and nobody in the vicinity is #turntup. Disappointing.

By Zachary Bennett:  Here’s the first jersey I saw at the Thomas and Mack Center, today.

Underrated part about this guy’s outfit: The hat. Last time Dixon played in the NBA he appeared in 50 games with the Washington Wizards in 2009-2010, so was this Dixon, himself in the jersey? This, I cannot confirm.

Yesterday, our media table was almost destroyed by Cleanthony Early, but today it wasn’t a rim-rocking dunk that riled up the audience. Instead, Thomas Robinson attempted to WOW the crowd by trying a reverse slam on a breakaway, this was the result.

By Jack Maloney: A guy named Stephen Holt is playing for the Hawks and has five points early on in the 2nd quarter. \o/

By Jack Maloney: Trading cards are still being handed out and I was lucky enough to snag an Andrew Wiggins. Now I just have to find a Dion Waiters, a Tristan Thompson and someone with a Kevin Love so I can make a trade.

The HP crew is back at Las Vegas Summer League for day two. Early games are Knicks-Trail Blazers at Cox Pavillion and Hawks-Wizards at Thomas and Mack.
