It’s interesting to see how players approach the off-season. Some spend a good chunk away from basketball completely, using it as a time to gather their thoughts and get away from the thing that dominates their lives for the majority of the year. Others take little time off, using the extended break as an opportunity to hit the gym and hone their skills for the upcoming season so they can come back bigger, faster, stronger and better than ever. And a rare few, like the New Orleans Pelicans’ Tyreke Evans, do the right thing by combining the best of both those worlds, which, in this case, means expanding your dunking repertoire and jump-shooting skills on a miniature hoop by a swimming pool.

Seeing as Tyreke Evans is entering the second year of his four-year, $44 million contract, I’m sure the Pelicans don’t want to see a video of him running around a slippery pool and throwing down outrageous dunks. But, hey, if it pays off in the long run (look at how smooth that jumper is!) then I guess they can’t complain too much. After all, he could be doing worse things…right?
