The Warriors and Pistons just returned from the halftime break out in Detroit, where the Pistons hold a five point lead.
Even though there’s nearly a whole half of basketball left to be played, Klay Thompson likely already put in the play of the night. Early in the 1st quarter, Greg Monroe put in a bucket for the Pistons, but Detroit then failed to get back on defense, and Steph Curry looked up to see Klay Thompson streaking ahead of the play.
He hit Thompson in stride, and the young swingman out of Washington State, seeing just Kyle Singler in his way, exploded to the basket. Singler meant well, but he provided meaningless resistance as Thompson dunked on his head, catapulting the Warriors’ bench out of their seats.
