It appears that the Los Angeles Lakers faithful have yet to forgive Dwight Howard for spurning their favorite team last summer. The All-Star center opted to leave the storied franchise to team up with James Harden in Houston as a member of the Rockets.
In his first return to the Staples Center against the Lakers, the team’s fans began to chant “Howard sucks” with the Rockets already leading by more than 20 points. A particular player on the court began to join on the chant; Yeah, you guessed it – Dwight Howard, the villian himself had a little fun with the ruckus:
Despite the chant, Howard finished with a double-double against his former team, scoring 20 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, while adding three blocks and two steals. The Rockets beat the Lakers 134-108. But still, for some reason, “Howard sucks.”
