- The Sacramento Kings slaughtered the Cleveland Cavaliers last night, 124-80, thanks in part to another solid night from Rudy Gay, who finished with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Even more impressive, was that Gay shot 8-12 from the field. Gay has now played 15 games for the Kings, and has shot over 50 percent in 11 of them. In 18 games with the Raptors earlier this year, Gay did that just once. He’s shooting 52 percent in Sacramento overall, compared to just 38 percent in Toronto. The win last night gave the Kings’ their third win a row, but they’re still way off the postseason race, currently seven and a half games behind Dallas, who holds the eighth seed. If Gay keeps playing like this, they’ll likely move out of the bottom of the Western Conference, but a postseason berth is highly unlikely at this point.
- Check out this huge block by James Johnson on Jeff Teague. Johnson filled up the box score yesterday, scoring 7 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, handing out 3 assists, nabbing 3 steals and swatting 2 shots. He helped the Grizzlies pick up an important win, 108-101 over the Hawks. The Grizzlies have managed to hang around the playoff picture, and figure to be involved the rest of the year, especially with a Marc Gasol return on the horizon.
- Speaking of Marc Gasol, according to Chris Vernon, he is going through a full practice tomorrow. Gasol has been out since late November with a sprained MCL in his knee. The NBA is a much better place with Gasol in action, so this is great news.
Marc Gasol going through full practice tomorrow. They are gonna see how goes and then who knows
