Game of the Night: Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns

There are a couple of interesting match-ups across the NBA tonight, but none more so than the Golden State Warriors vs. the Phoenix Suns.

Going into the season, these two squads figured to be headed in different directions. With the acquisition of Andre Iguodala, many saw the Warriors to be contenders for the Western Conference crown. The Suns, even with the trade for Eric Bledsoe, appeared to be destined for another top five draft pick in next summer’s lottery.

But through the first six weeks or so of the season, the two teams have the same number of wins: 13. In fact, it is the Warriors who sit looking up at the Suns in the standings, based on their 11 losses to the Suns’ nine.

Tonight, the Suns – winners of five straight – will be looking to keep their win streak alive and stay above the Warriors for the time being.

We all know about the Warriors and their high powered offense lead by Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, but the Suns, lead by Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe, have a pretty good offensive punch of their own.

If you haven’t got a chance to check out this Phoenix team yet this year, you definitely should do so tonight. They’re a fun bunch, and combined with the fact that Steph Curry is must-watch TV, this should be a highly entertaining affair.

The Pick: In an exciting shootout, I’ve got Steph Curry leading the Warriors to a 108-101 win in Phoenix.
