Last night the Atlanta Hawks took on the visiting Washington Wizards and were looking to get a win to keep themselves above .500.
Thanks almost single-handedly to Al Horford, they did just that, beating the Wizards 101-99 in overtime. The win moved them to 12-11 and kept them as one of only three teams in the Eastern Conference at .500 or better (The Pacers and Heat being the other two).
Horford had a monster game, finishing with 34 points and 15 rebounds, including a buzzer beater in overtime.
Taking the ball out with just under two seconds to go, Pero Antic fired a cross-court pass that Horford leapt to haul in. Immediately upon landing, Horford put up a fadeaway jumper that fell through with the red lights already illuminated.
