While Sunday night’s game between the Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Lakers focused on the return of Kobe Bryant, teammate Wesley Johnson stole the show for a brief moment. With the Lakers down 15-4 midway through the first quarter, Johnson got his hands on a long rebound following a Raptors missed three-pointer and dished the ball out to Bryant on the fast break, who quickly passed it to Steve Blake. Johnson trailed the play and came through the middle, received the ball from Blake and threw down a vicious two-handed dunk.
Johnson-to-Black Mamba-to-White Mamba-back to Johnson; perfection.
Those were Johnson’s only two points on the night, but he certainly made them count. Toronto, however, defeated Los Angeles 106-94, spoiling Bryant’s return.
