The NBA injury bug continues to make the rounds. On Monday afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers announced they will be without guard Jordan Farmar for the next month.

This is unfortunate news for both the Lakers and Farmar. Already without Steve Nash, LA was relying on the 27-year-old to provide the team with quality minutes off the bench. They are now down to just one healthy point guard in Steve Blake.

Farmar, who began his career with the Lakers after getting drafted No. 26 overall in the 2006 draft, spent the first four years of his career with the team. He then joined the Brooklyn Nets for two seasons, before playing last season overseas with Anadolu Efes of the Turkish basketball league. Farmar re-signed with the Lakers in July.

The UCLA product was in the midst of another productive year, averaging 9.2 points and 4.4 assists in 18 games this season.
