LeBron James Rocking Out in His Car Will Make You Laugh

lebroncarrockIt’s good to be the king. Mel Brooks taught us that in the French Revolution section of History of the World: Part I, and LeBron James is living the mantra to the fullest. When you’re the king, you get to do whatever you want to do; right now, LeBron just wants to rock out in his car to Que’s “O.G. Bobby Johnson.” And the video of him doing so is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Via LeBron’s Instagram:

That, my friends, is a champion who’s comfortable in his own skin. Look at how damned goofy he’s being! Even he knows it, as he can’t help but self-consciously giggle at his antics. And holy goodness gracious, that’s some bass pumping out of the sound system in his vehicle.

I’ve watched this video a dozen times already, and I still lose it every time LeBron drops his “UNH” right into the camera. Keep being you, LeBron. For the sake of all of us, keep being you. All I ask is that sometime in the near future, we get a video of Birdman rocking out to some Swedish death metal. Birdman probably listens to Swedish death metal, right?

Andrew Lynch

When God Shammgod created the basketball universe, Andrew Lynch was there. His belief in the superiority of advanced statistics and the eventual triumph of expected value-based analytics stems from the fact that he’s roughly as old as the concept of counting. With that said, he still loves the beauty of basketball played at the highest level — it reminds him of the splendor of the first Olympics — and the stories that spring forth from the games, since he once beat Homer in a game of rock-paper-scissors over a cup of hemlock. Dude’s old.
