Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
We’re coming off a pretty crazy night across the Association. Even with multiple blowouts, we still saw LeBron James return to Cleveland, an overtime affair in which the Wizards handed the Bucks yet another loss, and the Suns winning a shootout to stop the Blazers’ win streak. Plus, there was possibly the most ridiculous moment of the year, when Jason Kidd instructed Tyshawn Taylor to bump into him, causing him to “spill” his drink in an effort to buy his team an extra timeout. But the Nets lost to the Lakers anyway, dropping to 4-11. As the league takes a break today, we’re still here with some words to read. So before your families arrive and you start celebrating the holiday, check out today’s suggested basketball readings from across the web.
Thanksgiving is a time for us all to gather with family, eat unhealthy amounts of food, and be thankful. Over at Grantland, Andrew Sharp reflected on what he’s thankful for in the sports world, including Dirk Nowitzki, the Knicks, and Charles Barkley.
With the loss of Derrick Rose for the rest of the year, there has been a lot of discussion about the Bulls tanking. Over at SB Nation’s Blog A Bull, Ricky O’Donnell wrote about the complications that come with Rose’s injury and what the Bulls should do now that he’s out for the year.
