Lion Face Lemon Face 11/25/13: The Bulls Have Hit Rock Bottom

You know the drill by now, so let’s get to the best and worst from a busy Monday night in our wonderful association.

Lion Face: Michael Beasley meets the Morris brothers

I have no idea what is going on here, but Michael Beasley’s facial expressions sure are interesting.

Lemon Face: The Bulls have hit rock bottom

Derrick Rose is out for the season, Jimmy Butler can’t put any weight on his injured foot and the Bulls lost in overtime to the now 2-14 Utah Jazz. Oh, and Hinrich, Teague and James (the Bulls’ point guards now that Rose is gone) combined for three points, five assists and two rebounds on 1-for-7 shooting in that game. Also, the Bulls’ championship odds have dropped from 15.3% to 0.7%, according to Bloomberg Sports. Ladies and gentlemen, this is rock bottom.

Lion Face: Dwyane Wade spices up the videobomb

#VintageDwyaneWadeGameAlert: In 33 minutes against the Phoenix Suns, Wade scored 21 points, dished out 12 assists and pulled down six rebounds. While it wasn’t enough to secure stat line of the night honors (that went to LeBron for his 35 points on 11-for-14 shooting), Wade was in good spirits after the game and decided to add a little punch to the videobombing fun by breaking out a surprisingly awkward cartwheel. And LeBron loved it.

Lemon Face: Caron Butler’s temper

When Brandon Jennings plays well, he gets confident. When he gets confident, he does silly things. When he does silly things, people get angry. When the Pistons play the Bucks, that angry person is Caron Butler.

Lion Face: LeBron is too good to be true

LeBron is getting better, which didn’t seem possible six months ago. Just give this man his millionth MVP award already.

Lemon Face: The Knicks have lost six games in a row

After last night’s loss to the Trailblazers, the Knicks losing streak has extended to six, which is just pitiful. There are only two teams in the NBA right now that have worse overall records than the woeful Knicks and they happen to be a pair of teams that are deliberately tanking: The Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks. Did I already say that the Knicks are pitiful right now.

Lion Face: Rondo’s return may be coming soon

Hey, so remember when all those videos came out of Derrick Rose practicing last season, which led us all to believing that he’d be back in no time? Well, it’s happening again, only this time with Rajon Rondo! Wahay! But really, Rondo looks like a speed demon again and is apparently “pretty close to 100%.” It sure would be nice to have another eastern conference all-star back in the picture.

Lemon Face: Derrick Rose really is injured, huh?

Here’s a photo of Derrick Rose after his meniscus surgery. Reality has set in: He’s out for the season. This is very sad.

/goes in a corner and cries for hours and hours and hours.
