Pass of the Night: Steph Curry to Klay Thompson (Video)

Guess who’s back, back, back? Back again.

Steph is back, back, back. Tell a friend.

Just two days ago, we featured Steph Curry’s bounce pass to Andrew Bogut on “Pass of the Night.” Today, Curry is back, courtesy of his behind-the-back effort to his backcourt partner, Klay Thompson.

Late last night, the Golden State Warriors welcomed the pitiful Utah Jazz into Oracle Arena. The Jazz were looking for their first road win, and their second win overall. Everyone expected the Jazz to have a down year this year, but no one expected them to be this bad. Now at 1-10 following last night’s loss, the Jazz are in prime position to grab the first pick in next summer’s draft. It should be no surprise then, that the Warriors easily dispatched with the Jazz, with a 102-88 victory.

All five of the Warriors’ starters scored in double-figures, including 25 from Thompson to lead the way. Chipping in 15 was Curry, who also handed out 11 assists. The most impressive of those 11 dimes came early on in the first quarter, with the Warriors already ahead by 6.

Dribbling down the center of the court, Curry lead the Warriors on a three-on-two fast break. Two Jazz defenders were rushing to get back on defense, but couldn’t get back in time to get set. Curry took advantage of this, and, spotting Thompson charging down the court on his right, flipped a behind-the-back pass to him. Thompson secured the pass and finished it off with a nifty reverse layup.
