After an exciting TNT doubleheader last night, the NBA schedule is once again jam packed, with 13 games set for tonight. Friday means the return of the weekend, our first weekend with meaningful basketball since June. Before you enjoy ESPN’s doubleheader tonight – or whatever local or league pass game you fancy – take a few minutes to check out some worthwhile reading. Today is an exciting day for NBA nerds. After hearing about SportVU cameras off and on for the last few years, they were installed in every arena for this season. The cameras offer a lot of information that was before unattainable. And later today, the general public will have access to at least some of the data the cameras provide teams across the league. But as Andrew Lynch of Hardwood Paroxysm warns us, don’t go looking for tell-all answers from the data. Like everything, it’s just another piece of the puzzle.
