Deron Williams Sets NBA Record With Nine First Half Three-Pointers, Finishes With 42 Points

It was night to remember for Deron Williams, as the Brooklyn Nets’ point guard exploded for 42 points, including 11 three-pointers.

7 of those threes came in the 1st quarter, on the way to Williams setting an NBA record for most threes in a half, with 9.

Just 5 minutes in, Williams had already hit 5 threes, and the Nets were up 22-2. From that point on, the game was pretty even. But it was too late for the Wizards, as the Nets coasted to a 95-78 victory in Brooklyn
