After a few quarters of last night’s games, there were some scores that really caught me off-guard. Minnesota was up big on San Antonio and the Suns were drilling the Bulls. However, we should have known what would eventually happen, as both the Spurs and Bulls came back to win.
Only a couple of games on the schedule today due to the holiday, so let’s take a look at the schedule:
#2: Washington Wizards (5-8) at Atlanta Hawks (8-7) – 8:00 PM ET, TNT
As you can tell from the schedule, not exactly the cream of the crop highlighting the NBA’s Thanksgiving slate. However, it will be interesting to see if the Wizards can finally win one on the road, as they are 0-6 heading into this one. The Hawks have slid a bit after their strong start, and this would be the perfect place for them to start building momentum again.
#1: Sacramento Kings (4-9) at Los Angeles Clippers (2-13) – 10:30 PM ET, TNT
This game is more intriguing to me than the Hawks-Wizards matchup for a few reasons. For starters, there’s the Blake Griffin and Tyreke Evans factor. Anytime these two take the floor, something spectacular is probably gonna happen. And then there’s the potential for both of these teams to start putting it together. The Clippers, as dreadful as their record is, showed the other night against the Hornets that they can beat good teams. And the Kings just need to find some offensive chemistry, and they could start racking up a few wins as well.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Have a great day!
